Breaking Down a Costume

Going into this mornings session looked very exciting as there were various tables set up with different resources for breaking down. Our lecturer introduced the group to the various techniques for breaking down a costume from 'Dirty Down' spray to a cheese grater. There are many techniques to make a costume look old or worn out that I had not known previously.

I have had the opportunity to break costumes down when working on set during a work placement, there I made a pair of Jeans look worn and ripped, and I also cut up and sprayed some t-shirts with 'Dirty Down' spray.

After the introduction, we had the opportunity to experiment with the various dyes, sprays and equipment. Below are some images I took from the session.
